Screw Extractor

  • DETAILS

EXTRACUT Screw Extractors specialized damage-free fastener removal tools designed to grip and turn stripped, damaged, rounded-off, or corroded screws and bolts that cannot be removed with conventional screwdrivers or sockets. Using a reverse-tapered spiral flute design that bites tighter as torque increases, these extractors remove damaged fasteners without damaging the surrounding material or threads.

Key Features

  • Reverse-Taper Spiral Flutes — Left-hand spiral flutes bite deeper into the fastener as clockwise torque is applied — the harder you turn, the tighter it grips.
  • Damage-Free Removal — Removes stripped screws without drilling them out, preserving the original thread hole for reuse with a new screw.
  • Multiple Size Range — Extractors available for screw sizes from #0 to #12 (approximately 1.5mm to 8mm) and bolt sizes up to M20.
  • Heat-Treated Alloy Steel — Through-hardened tool steel (58–62 HRC) provides the strength needed to break free corroded or over-torqued fasteners.
  • Drill-Out Option — For severely damaged fasteners, the extractor can be used to drill out the screw center first, then engage the remaining shell.
  • Complete Set Available — Full range extractor sets include multiple sizes in organized cases for professional tool kits.

Applications

Stripped screw removal (stripped Phillips, Torx, Pozidriv, Allen/hex heads), corroded fastener extraction (rusted bolts in marine/automotive/outdoor applications), broken bolt removal (snapped-off studs, sheared bolts), over-torqued fastener release, and emergency repair situations where conventional tools have failed and the fastener must be removed without damaging the workpiece.
